Found G's in our stories....

And ate lots of yummy G food, like green grapes, green apples, green cucumbers, and of course green cookies!

Sure was fun learning about the letter G!

V...is for Valentines and Vegetables

We had so much fun with the letter "V"

We read books about Valentines

We vacuumed up "v"s

We talked all about vegetables and what it takes to grow them...soil, air, water, sunlight.

We ate vegetables with dip for snack.

We made valentine cards.

and...

made valentine COOKIES! (Which I think was the kids favorite part! :))

The Letter H

We all had a great time at preschool today.. we read and old classic

There was an old woman who swallowed a Fly... The kids loved this one.

Talked about the letter H, it's sound, various words that start with H and Practiced writing it.

we made the letter H and colored Hearts and drew Hands.

We wore silly Hats.

Ate Ham and had a Happy time.

Candy Turkeys

Well, I wasn't able to teach today, but I heard it was a lot of fun! Thank you, thank you, thank you to Aubrey for letting us come to her house!

One thing I wanted to do today for the letter T, but realized there just wasn't enough time is to make candy turkeys with the kids. These are really fun and a great thing to keep the kiddos busy while Thanksgiving dinner is cooking!

For each turkey you need:

1 large gumdrop, or candy orange slice (slice them with a knife to make it easier to stick candy corns in)

3 small gumdrops

3-4 candy corns

1-2 toothpicks broken up into smaller pieces

Here is a picture from a previous year. I know this picture is terrible, but it was the best I had. I think you get the idea. Hope everyone has a Happy Thanksgiving!

The letter "A"

I think that our first day of preschool was a success! I feel bad I forgot to take pictures of it all, but it was really fun! I know Auri had a great time so I hope that your kids did too. Here are some things that we did.

*Learned the letter A and what sound it makes (we only did the short "a" sound, like "a"pple)

*Picked apples off the apple tree and then put them back according to color.

*Talked about words that start with "A'', and introduced "Auri" and "Addison"

*Colored our letter A in our alphabet books.

*Ate a snack- apples and apricots....and raisins and nilla wafers.

*Played toss the beanbag in the alligator.

***I forgot to play the ants go marching but I think that it would be a good thing to play at home with your own child and talk about ants and A.

Sorry about the caramel apples, I hope no one choked or lost a filling. Eat with caution. My bad. Next week will be at Michelle's house learning the letter T for Thanksgiving! It should be super fun! Yay for preschool! Thanks for coming!
